Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day was so much fun. On Friday afternoon, Emmy and I met my mom for shopping and to grab a bite to eat.

Saturday, we took Chris to karate. Chris sparred with his classmates…

And Emmy “sparred” with a punching bag (she won, obviously)…

Then we went to The Bike Shop to get Christopher a bigger bike. After looking at the price tags, we drove to Walmart to get Christopher a bigger bike. He spent the rest of the weekend on his new bike (even though he fell over several times, training wheels and all).

Sunday we went to church and brunch with Johnny’s family (it was way too chaotic to get a picture).

After we ate, we picked up flowers for my planters. Then I spent a few hours outside planting (while I worked on that, Johnny cleaned out our car, Emmy threw potting soil around the yard, and Chris rode around on his bike).

For dinner we had my mom and Karl over for filet, salad, and apple pie (made by Johnny)! I ate that meal way too fast to get a picture of it, but trust me – it was delicious!

All in all, it was a pretty great weekend. I hope all the mamas out there had a nice celebration!
