Asking All Mamas

We just went out to dinner. The food was delicious, service was quick and our server was very nice.  However, he would not stop tickling my baby girl!

As a former server, I think about his hands picking up dirty dishes, greasy food and soaking in dishwater – right before touching Em’s cheek, tickling her toes, and patting her head. Sure, servers was hands, but they get busy to do it all the time.

Did I say anything? No. People have no boundaries when it comes to babies, but he was a very nice server excited about his new baby and I didn’t want to be rude.

But realizing the lack of boundaries brought me to this question: as a mama, is it more intrusive when people (friends, family OR strangers) rub your pregnant tummy or when they touch your baby?
